Accommodation
It is your Choice: Cosy Country Houses or comfortable Lodge

At NFC we offer various accommodation options, which we will tailor to each individual client or group's needs. Sunday welcome meetings will take place at the new NFC lodge and will include an informal welcome dinner. We will also continue our tradition from 2012 of bi-weekly barbeques on both Wednesday and Saturday as a way to collect the week’s group, share fishing experiences, laughs and a good meal.

NFC Lodge:

For 2013, Norwegian Flyfishers Club is pleased to present its new lodge and welcome center. Located at Rogstadmoen farm (approximately 8km upstream from the village of Støren). This lodge will serve as the new central meeting point, dining facility, fly shop and bar for the NFC. We will offer lunch and dinner at the lodge. Both lunch and dinner will also be available as a river-picnic, which can either be picked up at the lodge, or shuttled to the clients riverside.

From 2014 an additional accommodation wing will be added to the lodge. It will offer capacity for up to 14 fishermen in a variety of single, double rooms and suite as well as a wellness center with sauna and a massage room.

This new gathering point will allow NFC to provide guests with an all around greater quality of service, and to help ensure the best possible fishing experience on the Gaula.

Country house accommodation:

For those coming in a group of 2 or more (up to 7), or for the individual fisherman who would like a more independent schedule and the ability to cook for him/herself, we recommend booking one of our recently renovated country houses. Here one can cater for oneself or choose to have meals at our lodge. With a varied fishing schedule this is a good option to be able to operate at ones own pace. Depending on the individual country house, this option also provides walking distance access to some of our beats.

Bogen Søndre’s “English House”

Bogen Søndre (English House)

Located on the Bogen Søndre farm, with river views of our Bogen Søndre 2 Beat (BS2), the "English House" is one of the oldest fishermen's accommodation houses on the Gaula River. Dating from 1837, it was built to acommodate some of the first groups of Englishmen who came to fish the Gaula. Today the house has been renovated to modern standard, and has capacity for 6-7 fishermen without losing the rustic charm of a traditional English fisherman's lodge.

Home Pool House”

Home Pool House

Home Pool House is located directly across the road from our Home Pool Beat (Beat H). It is a traditional Norwegian farm house which has been fully renovated for the 2013 season. It has capacity for 5-6 fishermen. There is also a traditional Norwegian "Stabbur" located at Home Pool House, which is another accommodation option for 1 fisherman looking for a more "rustic" and "traditional" Norwegian experience. The ease of access to our Home Pool Beat is one of the main attractions to this accommodation- as the left bank of Home Pool is one of our "free-for-all" beats, and can be fished by any guests, at any time.

Lundamo House

Lundamo House

The Lundamo House is located on the Sollihaug Farm, which is where our Lundamo Beat (L1) is located. This quaint Norwegian farm house has been recently renovated to meet all modern standards. With capacity for up to 4-5 fishermen, this country house is a perfect place for small groups looking to enjoy their fishing holiday in peace and quiet while providing easy access to our lower river beats.

Tilseth House

Tilseth House

The Tilseth House is located close to our main beats in the Støren area. It is within walking distance from our A, B and C beats, and is therefor quite attractive to those fishermen who like to be able to access various beats without the use of a vehicle. The house can accommodate up to 6 fishermen, and has a nice outdoor patio for summertime barbeques. Tilseth House has been renovated for the 2013 season.
